Farm Fundraiser Friday 2/27 7-11pm at The Glitterbox Theater
Hello again friends of be.wild.er! We are reaching out today with a reminder that our fundraiser event is this Friday February 27th from 7-11pm with Desert Hearts at The Glitterbox Theater located at 210 W 8th Ave. in Homestead. DJ Opal is curating country tunes for our listening and dancing pleasures (many of you know DJ Opal as Gil, one of our all-star Bloomfield Market stand workers), folks from 412 Step will be on-site doing some line dancing, as well. We’ll be slinging some specialty beverages and snacks (shiso/lemongrass/anise hyssop hot totties, blueberry thyme soda and more!) and be.wild.er merch printed by our very own, crescent!
We have an incredible array of raffle items that our friends and community members have donated. Our suggested entry fee of $10-$20 will include one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased with cash or Venmo (cash preferred!). The raffle will be on-going throughout the evening with items on display for you to peruse. Raffle winners will be called at 10pm at the event!
To make the raffle accessible to folks who aren’t able to attend the Friday evening event, we are opening a Virtual Raffle at Noon on Thursday (tomorrrow) 2/26 ‘til Friday at 6pm. We’re also offering a silent auction, both at the event and virtually, until Saturday evening. This also kicks off Thursday (tomorrow) at noon:
Bid on a chef’s menu dinner for 4 complete with wine pairings from The Vandal through our Betterworld auction site, as well as at the event!
We’ll be donating a portion of the proceeds from this silent auction to a mutual aid fund to fulfill direct emergency needs of our immigrant neighbors for things like housing, food, and childcare. We recognize that there are so many worthy causes to be supporting at this time and we truly appreciate any amount of support you are able to offer us. We, in turn, want to contribute in the ways that we can to the important fundraising that is going on to support folks in our community.
